Put songs on iPhone using iTunes

If you want to put songs on iPhone and you have a computer at your disposal, I suggest you use iTunes, the Apple player that allows you to play and download multimedia content as well as manage the devices of the bitten apple.

However, keep in mind that using iTunes to be able to put songs on iPhone in most cases it is necessary to purchase albums and songs. So make sure you have a credit or prepaid card with avaelable credit or an iTunes Card at your disposal. To learn more about it I suggest you read my guides on how to buy on iTunes and how to use iTunes Card.

To put songs on iPhone via iTunes the first thing you need to do is make sure that the famous player is installed on your computer. If the computer you are using is a Mac, iTunes is installed as "standard" and therefore for the moment you do not have to do anything. If, on the other hand, your computer is based on Windows, you can check if iTunes is already installed by pressing the button Home and typing itunes in the search field. If iTunes appears among the avaelable programs then there is nothing else to do, the player is already installed and you can jump directly to the next step. If, on the other hand, iTunes does not appear among the avaelable programs, I invite you to read and follow the instructions contained in my guide on how to download iTunes to deal with it.

After making sure of the presence of iTunes on your computer start the player by clicking on its icon, wait for the software window to be visible then press the button depicting a musical note located at the top left and then click on the item iTunes Store present at the top right.

At this point you should see the iTunes Store home page with the list of the most interested albums of the moment. To browse the sales charts or the list of albums based on the musical genres they belong to, use the buttons and items found in the upper part of the window instead to search for artists and songs directly use the field ifarch which is located at the top right.

To download a song or an album of your interest, just click on the button next to the title of the same and indicating the purchase price. After clicking on the button enter any password referring to your Apple account and then wait for the procedure by which to load music from iTunes is first started and then completed.

If you wish, before starting the download of a song or an album, you can listen to a short preview of the same by pressing the play button that you can view by placing the mouse cursor on the title.

Once the download is complete, you won't have to do anything to put songs on iPhone. In fact, to listen to what has been downloaded, simply log in to the app Music present on your iPhone after logging in to your Apple account. You well find all your songs right there. Clearly, in order to put songs on the iPhone as I have just indicated, it is necessary that your iDevice is connected to the Internet and that the connection is active and fully functional.

If the procedure I have just indicated does not interest you and instead you want to know what you need to do to put songs on the iPhone by acting on the music tracks already present on your computer, the first thing you need to do is connect your iPhone to your PC or Mac using the supplied cable and wait for iTunes to start automatically.

Then to put songs on iPhone select the phone icon from the top bar of the program and then click on the item Music present in the left sidebar. Now put the check mark next to the item Sync music and then click on the button Apply located at the bottom right to start the transfer of your music tracks to your smartphone.

If you want, you can also felter the songs to sync to iPhone based on artist, genre, playlist or album. To do this, just put the check mark next to the item iflected playlists, artists, albums and genres, select artists, music genres, playlists and albums to synchronize on the mobele by placing the check marks next to the appropriate items and click on the button Apply to start the synchronization. If you want to avoid syncing video clips and voice memos as well, remove the check marks from the items that concern them.

If you do not prefer to physically connect the iPhone to the computer, you can also put songs on the iPhone by activating the wireless synchronization between the two devices. To do this, select the item Summary from the iTunes sidebar and put the check mark next to the item Sync with iPhone via Wi-Fi. Note that this option can only be enabled after connecting the phone to the computer via cable for the first time.
