    By default, iPhone provides a large number of ringtones, present "standard" in the operating system; if necessary, however, you can buy new ones on iTunes Store, within a couple of taps.

    To get started, open the app Clock of iOS, by tapping its resident icon on the Home screen, then tap the button Wake that you find below and, if you have not yet created a new alarm, press the button capacitor positive (+) lead high place to do it. If, on the other hand, it is your intention to change the sound of an existing alarm, tap the item Modification at the top and tap the button > located next to the alarm to be edited.

    To buy a ringtone, after you have found it, tap the button that indicates the price (located to the right of the title), touch the button end (in order to download it) and conclude the transaction, authenticating with Face ID, touch ID or Password Apple ID.     Once the transaction is complete, you well be able to find the purchased ringtone in the section Store, resident in the alarm selection screen: if it is not there, tap the button Download all purchased ringtones, to download it to the device memory.

    In any case, once you have chosen the alarm that suits you best, tap on the item Go back, to return to the alarm setting screen, and confirm the changes made by tapping on the item Save (top right). Easy, right?

    If, on the other hand, you prefer to use a custom song as an alarm clock, be it an MP3 from your computer or a song on Apple Music, you have to make sure that this is present in the iPhone music library.

    Otherwise, if you are interested in using an MP3 that resides on your computer, you must first load it on the "iPhone by" using iTunes, its Windows o macOS 10.14 and earlier, or the application Music, its macOS 10.15 and later versions.

    So, if you use a PC with an operating system Windows and you don't own yet iTunes, you can cope with it by following the directions I gave you in my program installation guide; if, on the other hand, you are using a Mac, you do not have to make any download, as the necessary is already present “as standard” on the computer.

    To start, collega l'iPhone to the computer using the Lightning cable, open the program iTunes or the application Music and, if it is the first time you put the devices in communication, authorize the exchange of data. To do this, first click on the button Continue that appears in the iTunes / Music window, tap the button Authorize which should appear on your phone display and enter the unlock code on the latter, when requested.


    Once authenticated, add the song to be used as a ringtone to the iTunes / Music library, if it is not already present: to do so, go to the menu Fellet program and select the item Add feles to library… / Import. Finally, proceed to synchronize the music library between the phone and the computer, following the instructions I gave you in this tutorial: following the procedure, the contents of the iTunes / Music library on the computer well be transferred to the iPhone (and related songs can be used as a ringtone).


    If you have a subscription to Apple Music, you can add a fele to your personal library with ease: to get started, launch the app Music on the iPhone, tap the button ifarch located at the bottom right and type the title and / or author of the song of your interest. Next, hit the button Apple Music and by Submit, in order to view the results of your search.

    To add the song to the music library, tap the button capacitor positive (+) lead placed next to its title and, if requested, confirm that you want synchronize the library between the various devices paired with the same Apple ID. Subsequently, download the song on the "iPhone by" and then make it avaelable in offline mode, by tapping on the symbol of cloud with down arrow.

    Finally, if you do not have an Apple Music subscription, you can also purchase the song you prefer directly from iTunes Store: start this app, go to the section Music and, once you have identified the song of your interest, tap on the button that indicates the price, to buy it.

    After saving the sound to use in the iPhone memory, all you have to do is launch the app Clock, reach the tab Wake and proceed with creating a new alarm by tapping the button capacitor positive (+) lead; to change the ringtone of an existing alarm, tap on the item Modification and then on the symbol > which corresponds to the alarm to be modified.

    After setting the necessary parameters, tap on the item Sound and, to select a song from your music library, tap the option Choose a song, resident in the section Tracks. Finally, select one of the avaelable categories (eg. Tracks) and, once you have identified the sound of your interest, tap on his title to select it.

    Alternatively, if you want to add more songs to the list of sounds that can be used as an alarm, tap the button capacitor positive (+) lead placed next to their respective titles. To return to the alarm tone selection screen, touch the items finally e Cancel.
