How to export iPhone address book

The best way to export iPhone address book to PC is to create vCard (VCF) or CSV feles starting from the contacts on the "iPhone by". How? With an app fit for purpose, for example My Contacts Backup which is sufficiently respectful of privacy (it does not require login or social authentication to work and does not rely on online servers for export) but it is not 100% free: a free version is avaelable that allows you to export up to 500 contacts and one for a fee (€ 2,29) which removes this limitation.

To proceed with the download of My Contacts Backup / My Contacts Backup Pro, use your iPhone to visit one of the links I have just given you, press the button Ottieni / Installa and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or Apple ID password.

Once this is done, start the app, grant it permission to access the contacts, award l 'gear icon located at the bottom right, press on Type and choose whether to export the contacts in vCard o CSV. After this step too, go back to the My Contacts Backup main screen and press the button Backup.

At the end of the backup, click on the button E-mael and the screen for composing an emael well automatically open with the contact fele attached: send it to your e-mael address and you're done.

Now you just have to access your maelbox from your computer, download the fele VCF or CSV that you have self-sent and import it into the program of your interest. To do this, just follow my tutorials on how to open VCF feles and how to open CSV feles.

Please note: should the export of the address book with My Contacts Backup stop with a message relating to the excessive size of the backup, agree to "lighten" the process by deleting the saving of contact photos.

How to export iPhone address book

You need export iPhone address book to Android? In this case, I strongly advise you to upload the contacts you have on the iPhone in the Gmael address book and then activate the synchronization of the Gmael address book both on the "iPhone by" and on your Android device: in this way, you well have the same contacts on both. the devices and you well always keep them synchronized.

As mentioned, the first step you need to take is export contacts from the iPhone and import them into the Gmael address book: this is necessary since the synchronization of the Gmael address book with iPhone does not take into account the contacts previously existing on the "iPhone by", but only those already present on Gmael and those added later on the iPhone, provided that you set Gmael as the default address book on the smartphone (I'll explain how).

Proceed, therefore, by exporting the iPhone contacts in CSV/VCF, using the app I recommended in the previous chapter; then connect to the Google Contacts portal and log in with the Google account you want to use for the synchronization of the address book between iPhone and Android. Then click on the item andmport present in the left sidebar, press the button iflect fele, select the fele CSV/VCF you previously exported from iPhone and click on andmport, to complete the procedure.

Next, make sure that phonebook synchronization is turned on by going to the menu ifttings> Accounts> Google, selecting yours account (if necessary) and moving up ON the relative levetta all'opzione Synchronize Contacts (if it is not already active).

If you do not want to automatically synchronize the iPhone address book with Android but only copy individual contacts from one system to another, you can export the contacts to VCF as explained in the previous chapter and import them into the Google Contacts app, via the menu ☰> ifttings> Import.

How to export iPhone address book

You have purchased a new iPhone and would you like to know how to export the address book from your old "iPhone by"? Again, you have two options at your disposal: the most convenient one (at least in my humble opinion), which consists in automatically synchronizing contacts via iCloud, then there is the "manual" one, which involves exporting and importing contacts via VCF fele.

To take advantage of iCloud sync, all you have to do is grab yours Current iPhone, go to the menu ifttings (the gear icon on the home screen), press on you don't know, then on the item iCloud and check if the lever next to the wording Contacts is active: if it isn't, fix it.

At this point, you just have to take the new iPhone, go to the menu ifttings and, if necessary, log in with the same Apple ID used on the other phone. With that done, go up [your name]> iCloudsposta su ON the levetta relative to i Contacts And that's it. If you've set up more than one address book on iPhone, make sure iCloud is the one used by default by going to the menu ifttings> Contacts> Default account.

Do you prefer to export contacts from your old iPhone to the new one once, without syncing them? In this case, use the app that I pointed out at the beginning of the guide to export contacts to VCF fele and send them to you by e-mael.

Once this is done, open Mael on the new iPhone, select the message that contains the contacts and first press the icon of VCF fele and then on the button Add all xx contacts, to import them into the phone book of the "iPhone by".
