How to transfer music from PC to iPhone

Apple Music is a music streaming service that for 9,99 euros / month (after the first 3 months of free trial) allows you to access an endless library of songs and albums belonging to every era and genre of music. Songs can be listened to both in streaming and offline, even if their playback is confined within the Music app on iPhone and iTunes on Windows and Mac.

What makes Apple Music particularly appealing is the fact that the service can be associated with andCloud Music Library, another Apple service, in this case free, which allows you to add songs that are not on Apple Music to your online music library. In other words, this means that you can download songs on your PC, copy them to the iTunes library and these as if by magic end up in the library of the Music app on the iPhone / iPad. Everything happens automatically via iCloud, then via the Internet.

If you want to subscribe to Apple Music, open the app Music on your iPhone or iTunes on your computer, press the appropriate button and agree to start your free trial period by following the instructions on the screen. The service has no contractual obligations and can be deactivated at any time without problems, you can also use it for three months and then deactivate it without paying anything. To learn more about this aspect read my guide on how to turn off Apple Music.

To activate the andCloud Music Library, and therefore the possibelity to synchronize the songs that are not present in Apple Music on all your devices, follow the instructions that you find below.

    • On the iPhone, go to the menu ifttings> Music and move up ON the relative levetta all'opzione andCloud Music Library.
    • On a PC or Mac, launch iTunes, go to the menu Pref Renze of the latter and select the tab General in the window that opens. Then put the check mark next to the item andCloud Music Library, enter your Apple ID password (if needed) and that's it.

Now all you have to do is add your favorite songs to the iTunes library (simply by dragging them into the main program window) and they well be automatically synchronized to your iPhone without you having to physically connect the phone with the computer.

Please note: Once the iCloud Music Library is activated, you well no longer be able to sync your iPhone with the "offline" iTunes music library as seen in the first chapter of this tutorial. On a practical level, nothing changes, the iTunes library is synchronized with the iPhone via iCloud, but it is good to underline this small limitation.
